What Does A Body Lift Achieve?
The goal of a body lift is to improve the shape and tone of the body’s underlying tissue, this is the tissue that supports fat and skin. Dr. Bell performs this procedure at his accredited surgical centre in Toronto. He removes excess sagging fat and skin, to treat conditions caused, in part, by poor tissue elasticity. The end result is a firmer, more youthful-looking body contour.
A body lift is generally performed on these areas of the body:
- Buttocks, to correct areas that may be flat, low or unevenly-shaped
- Thigh, including the inner, outer and posterior thigh, or circumferentially
- Abdominal area, locally as well as extending around the sides and into the lower back area

While offering dramatic results, a full body lift is a major operation often lasting several hours or longer. During your consultation at his accredited surgical centre in Toronto, Dr. Bell will want to discuss issues such as your reasons for wanting to have a body lift procedure, medications you’re currently taking as well as any drug allergies you may have. He will also need to know about any medical conditions and previous medical treatments and surgeries you have had.
Finally, Dr Bell will want to talk about your expectations and the end result you’re hoping for from the body lift procedure.
Recovering From Your Body Lift Operation
Following your body lift, performed by Dr. Bell at his Toronto accredited surgical centre, you will see a firmer, younger-looking body profile. After Dr. Bell has completed your body lift procedure at his Toronto clinic, dressings or bandages will be applied to assist the healing process.
Your Results Will Be Long Lasting
The results of a body lift are visible almost immediately. Dr. Bell will, however, caution that it can take as long as one year, or longer, for the final results of the body lift procedure to fully develop, during which time you will be scheduled for several post-operative consultations with Dr. Bell.
Scars will fade over time, and the overall results are long lasting, provided that you maintain a stable weight and general fitness, as advised by Dr. Bell.
